Tactic and army aviation of the Russia’s military forces will become part of the annual military parade on the Victory Day on May 9, 2017, including both helicopters and aircraft totaling more 40 machines. The parade will take place on the Dvortsovaya (Palace) square.

As the Western military district’s press service said, a few types of helicopters and aircraft will fly over the square on that day, the event that has never happened before.

There will be:

— helicopters Mi-8, Mi-26, Mi-35, Mi-28H, famous Ka-52;
— fighters Su-27, MiG-29SMT (see photo), MiG-31BM, Su-35, Su-34;
— transport planes An-12, Аn-26 and Tu -134.

Among other military weaponry visitors will see 90 units of armored cars Tiger and Typhoon, tank T-72B3, self-propelled artillery platforms 2S19 Msta and Nona-SVK as well as ballistic missile systems S-400 and Iskander-M. The parade will be led by the tank of the Victory T-34-85.

The navy part will be presented by 10 warships and submarines located in the Neva river just near the Palace square.

The parade is held in honor of the victory of the USSR and its allies in WWII over the nazist Germany and its satellites.

While the square is quite overcrowded on May 9, it makes sense to watch rehearsals of the parade on April 25, 27 and on May 3, 5, 7.
