Doubled Allegro Trains And Changes To Schedule For Christmas And New Year Holidays 2018

Allegro train connecting St. Petersburg and Helsinki will see a changed schedule for the Catholic Christmas and Russian long New Year’s holidays. On some days, there will be doubled trains with a few trips cancelled on others to adjust to changing demand.

Doubled Allegro trains will run on:

• № 781 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing on January 2 and 3 at 06:40;
• № 783 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing on December 30 and 31, January 1 and 4 at 11:30;
• № 785 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing on January 2 and 3 at 15:30;
• № 788 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing on January 5 at 19:00.

A few trips are to be cancelled due to low demand because of the Christmas’ and New Year’s Eve celebrations.

On December 24:
№ 785 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing at 15:30;
№ 787 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing at 20:30
№ 786 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing at 16:00
№ 788 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing at 19:00

On December 25:
№ 781 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing at 06:40
№ 783 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing at 11:30
№ 782 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing at 07:20
№ 784 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing at 11:00

On December 31:
№ 787 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing at 20:30
№ 788 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing at 19:00

On 1 January 2018:
№ 781 St. Petersburg – Helsinki departing at 06:40
№ 782 Helsinki – St. Petersburg departing at 07:20

Tickets for Allegro train can purchased through the websites of the Russian Railways for departures from St. Petersburg and VR for departures from Helsinki.

Sales start 60 days before the date of departure.

Also, beware of possible mishaps and accidents which have been occurring with Allegro regularly.
