The only St. Petersburg’s ferry operator, the St. Peter Line, reshuffled its routes and announced new product and marketing strategies. The company teamed up with Italian Moby Spa to establish a joint venture for Baltic operations and sent one of its ferries, The Princess Maria, to the Mediterranean Sea, while the other, The Princess Anastasia, will be deployed in new schedule from April 2017.
The two Princesses, Anastasia and Maria, had been serving routes between St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Helsinki and Stockholm until early November 2016, when the company revised its strategy and announced a merger with Moby. The Princess Anastasia now is still serving regular and special festival charter routes in the Baltic Sea, and then is going to be docked till 02 April 2017. It means that there will be no any ferry lines to and from St. Petersburg within the January-April time period.
From April on, the Anastasia’s schedule will be changed. The ferry will be serving all the routes which the both ferries used to serve earlier.

The Princess Anastasia is going to be fully upgraded; the vessel will be furnished and filled in an Italian style, including not only the interior, but also the cousin within new “The Italian holidays” concept.
In 2016, the St. Peter Line, which has been operating since 2010, hosted 550.000 passengers, it’s predicted to be about 300 000 in 2017. In 2015, the number of passengers was 569 000.
