Pulkovo airport

In the high season 2018, Pulkovo (LED) will expand its route network adding to the schedule flights to European and Asian destinations and increasing capacity to existing destinations, including London (UK), which might seem a bit weird given an ongoing conflict between Russia and the United Kingdom.

The 2018 summer schedule will see the commencement of flights from St. Petersburg to:
• Pula (Croatia)
• Pisa (Italy)
• Cologne (Germany)
• Gyumri (Azerbaijan)
• Malta (Malta)
• Alanya (Turkey)
• Chengdu (China)
• Nanjing (China)

From 23 April, RusLine airlines resume flights from St. Petersburg to Oslo (Norway).

From 26 April, Germania starts flying from St. Petersburg to Dresden (Germany).

From 1 June, RusLine starts flying to Vilnius (Lithuania) three times a week.

Qatar Airways launched flights from St. Petersburg to Doha (Qatar) in the end of 2017.

A few traditional routes have also been resumed:

• Beograd (Yugoslavia)
• Rome (Italy)
• Brussels (Belgium)
• Shanghai (China)
• Zagreb (Croatia)
• Tivat (Croatia)
• Seoul (South Korea)
• Athens (Greece)
• Burgas (Bulgaria)
• Madrid (Spain)
• Monastir (Turkey)

Several routes will be served by an increased number of carriers, including St. Petersburg – London route. Previously, only British Airlines had been operating the flight. In the end of March, Rossiya Airlines, part of state-owned Aeroflot company, resumed their flight to Gatwick (the British Airlines fly to Heathrow). Pulkovo airport said that 92,300 passengers flied directly between the two cities (+7% to 2016), with 31,000 traveling through connecting flights (+20% to 2016).

All flights you can see in airport Pulkovo’s schedule.

During the first two months of 2018, Pulkovo airport’s traffic increased by 8% to 2.03 million passengers. The year 2017 was record breaking for the airport.
