10 tourists assistants running segways will be on a daily alert in most popular places in St. Petersburg to help you with a piece of advice or sorting out your problems in case on incidents.
As of 1st of May, a few St. Petersburg tourism committee’s volunteers wearing blue jackets marked with «Ask me» signs have been working in the streets to provide help for tourists. They are ready to answer common tourist questions, point the right direction to go, give you contacts of museums and emergency services and guide you to the nearest police station should something bad happen to you (though we hope it will not, but read our post on being safe in St. Petersburg) anyway.
The Ask Me assistants can be found at:
— the Dvortsovaya (Palace) square;
— the Arts Square;
— the Saviour on Spilled Blood Cathedral;
— the Gostiny dvor;
— the Kazan Cathedral;
— the Vosstaniya (Ressurection) square;
— Moskovskaya subway station.
Service is available daily from 09.00 to 22.00 from May 1 to September 1.
The assistants speak English, German, French and Chinese.
