Diego Maradona Is Ready To Pay To Find Out Who Announced His «Death»

Diego Maradona

Diego Maradona, one of the best (or just the best) football players ever, told via his lawyer he will pay $10,000 to anyone who will reveal the source of false information about his death following the historical victory of the Argentina team over Nigeria at the Krestovsky stadium (The Saint Petersburg Stadium) on June 26, mass media reported. The furious (and, evidently, alive) football legend was disappointed by an audio message which was spread by an unknown man and reached the former player’s relatives.

Maradona visited St. Petersburg to support his Argentina team in a closing game of the World Cup’s preliminary stage against Nigeria, which could both save and sink one of the most powerful contenders for the Cup.

As we wrote, the last year’s visit of the Argentinian legend during the FIFA Confederations Cup 2017 was colored with a hint to a scandal, which, however, ended with nothing. This time, the visit was luckier given the victory by Messi & Co, but dealt Maradona with another strong blow. Diego was incredibly excited during the first half of the match and eventually suffered from heightened blood pressure. Doctors called to the man recommended him leaving the game before the second half starts. No need to say Maradona refused to obey.

The game abounded with moments to make a heart beat stronger and stronger. After Messi opened score and the Nigerians equaled, there was few time left for the Argentinians to save their future presence at the cup as players, not mere viewers. Finally, with just a few minutes to go in the game, Rojo made it 2-1 to advance the team to the playoffs. No wonder that mass media reports surfaced that Maradona, who demonstrated two «God’s hands» to the Nigerians, was taken by first aid crew from the stadium. These reports were not confirmed. But there was also another message which drew global attention: a man’s voice recorded an audio WhatsApp message and spread it via the same app in Spanish with an obvious Argentinian accent that Diego Maradona had died from heart attack. In fact, the legend didn’t feel well, but was on his way to a hotel and then to his flight to Moscow.

Maradona’s relatives in Argentina received the news and could verify it immediately thus suffering from moral pain. This fact made Maradona furious and got him want satisfaction. Now the hunt for the source is open.
