Pulkovo airport

Wizz Air will fly two, then three and four times a week from St. Petersburg to the capital of Hungary to fill in gap in transportation between Russia and Hungary and serve the rising number of tourists traveling between the two countries.

Wizz Air took its first flight on the route on August, 27, a Pulkovo airport’s representative said. The airline deploys an Airbus-320 and flies two times a week, on Wednesday and Sunday.

As of October, 31, the number of flights will increase to three a week (Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday), in May 2018, just before the start of the FIFA World Cup 2018, to four a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).

A one-way ticket starts from nearly 60 euro.

UPDATE: In January 2020, the company announced that it would launch flights to St. Petersburg from Sofia, Bucharest, Bratislava and Vilnius in summer this year.
