Peterhof Museum’s Parks Closed Till April 25

Fountains of the Peterhof

The Peterhof museum has announced recently it closes its parks till April 25, 2020 because of the wet and extremely warm winter. The museum is now preparing them for the start of the upcoming high season. All the museums continue to work in accordance with the ordinary schedule.

The Peterhof museum complex includes a few museums and parks both in a township of Peterhof itself and nearby suburbs — Lomonosov and Strelna. So the decision concerns all the parks in Peterhof, Lomonosov and Strelna.

The very mild winter 2019/2020 in St. Petersburg, when the temperature rarely fell below 0 Celsius and the rainfall was higher than normal, has negatively affected the parks’ crushed-rock paths.

New Schedule of Peterhof Parks Till April 25

— The Lower park (with fountains) closed. The Upper Garden is open. The Grand Peterhof Palace is open. Note that the fountains don’t work now anyway, they will be launched in a test mode on April 25.
— the Alexandria park is closed on workdays and open on weekends to provide access to the museums «The Farmer’s Palace» and «The Cottage»;
— the park around the Peter I’s palace in Strelna is closed on workdays and open on weekends to provide access for visitors to the palace;
