Russian Warships Can Be Visited During Naval Show On July 1-2

In a few days you will have a rare opportunity to visit Russian warships when the International Maritime Defense Show (IMDS) will take place on June 28 — July 2 with the first three days reserved only for specialists and the other two days open for the public.

The IMDS, or the naval show, is the biggest event of this kind in Russia. Some days beforehand, the sky over St. Petersburg tends to be filled with first fast approaching and then fast abandoning uproar produced by military jets. It’s Russian elite air forces preparing for their performances at the show in front of high ranked military officials from Russia and other countries.

Specialists come here to discuss their boring technical issues like navigation and missile systems and other stuff like that aimed at delivering pain and disaster to bad guys. Thing that are of interest to ordinary people, not involved in designing and manufacturing what is going to be used in the III World war, are visiting the warships and watching spectacular air shows as well as sailing races.

This year the squad will reportedly include 13 ships consisting of corvette, guided missile ship, motor boats of a few kinds and other ships. They are open from 10.00 to 17.00 on July 1st and 2nd.

The schedule of the air show is still unknown.

The sailing race takes place from 12.00 to 16.30 on July, 1.
