St. Petersburg Pulkovo airport announced it will increase number of flights, including those to new destinations abroad. A jewel in the crown is the arrival of Qatar Airways with their St. Petersburg – Doha route starting as of December, 19.

New routes include: Verona, Salzburg, Innsbruck, Lion, Torino by S7 Airlines, Namangan (Uzbekistan) and Tenerife by Ural Airlines, Pardubice, Sharjah by Rossiya Airlines, Chengdu and Kunming by Lucky Air and Doha by Qatar Airwaves.

Additional flights to destinations within the existing network include: Astana, Dubai, Chisinau, Moscow, Samara, Syktyvkar, Istanbul, Novosibirsk, Helsinki, Tyumen, Rostov-on-Don and Krasnodar, during Russian New Year’s long holidays – to Belgrade, Rome and Brussels.

Majority of new routes and additional flights will start on October, 29 when a schedule for the winter season comes into effect.

Qatar Airways will be flying from Doha to St. Petersburg on a daily basis deploying A320 with 120 economy class seats and 19 of business class.

Earlier this year, a Hungary’s airlines Wizz Air started flights from St. Petersburg to Budapest.
