Vyborg Castle Festivals Schedule For 2017 Announced

In 2017, one of the most visited museums in Russia, the Vyborg castle is going to hold a few events which proved to be of high interest and popularity attracting crowds even from other regions of the country. Tickets are often sold out months before the start so booking in advance, when available, makes sense.

June 10 — June 12, 2017
The Medieval Fairy Tale

Knights, ladies, trouveres and minstrels — they all will be entertaining all for three days which fall on days off in Russia so the attendace will be strong as usually. Ticket prices from 800 rubles.
The program features knight tournaments on horseback, street theater, concerts, a gamezone for kids and workshops.


July 29 — July 30, 2017
The Middle Ages Reenactment

The most prominent yearly festival held in Vyborg and one of the most important gathering of the medieval reenactors. Tournaments on horseback, other kinds of knights fighting, evening theater performances, show, concerts and so on. There will be even a Court of The Inquisition will be held.

The Medieval Feaster

Part of the Medieval Ages Reenactment, though it can be visited separately. The entry prices includes a show program and food. The event is held at The Round Tower dating back to 1547-1550.

By the way in 2016, Vyborg was home to the Game of Thrones themed festival.
