Pulkovo airport (LED) launched its first and only capsule Aerosleep hotel located in the airport’s building. Though it’s highly hardly possible you’re stuck at Pulkovo, and even if you are the city is just 30 minutes away, that’s a nice option in case you need an hour rest between flights.
Information on prices has been updated in February 2020.
The Aerosleep capsule hotel is on the first (or second in Russian terms) floor of the airport beside the Puro Gusto coffee shop. You’ll have no problem finding it as the airport is not that large.
Totally, 13 pods are available resembling the design of fantastic spaceships (see the photos).
Each cell contains a king-size bed (160 x 200 cm) to accommodate two adults and one kid. Guests are provided with one-use bed-linen, pillows, and blankets. Pods are equipped with a mirror, safe, TV, occasional table, alarm clock, USB port, 220V socket, entertainment center, and free Wi-Fi. A specially designed ventilation system, fire suppression gauges, and fire extinguishers make a stay both comfortable and secured.
It’s recommended you take handy-sized luggage with you in, while big bags and coffins should be kept in a storage room. The shower and toilets are shared.
The price for one room is 300 rubles (nearly $3) per hour from 10.00 till 22.00, and 500 rubles per hour from 22.00 till 10.00.
If you happen to have a long layover, there are seven hotels near Pulkovo airport, including Park Inn and Hilton, with some of them being just less than 100 meters from the airport’s exit or within a 10-minute ride by taxi.
