Beavers living in the Gatchina park, one of the best parks near St. Petersburg, cut down a tree which looked like an interesting object, some kind of the modern art. This regularly happens here as beavers like the site due to its comfort eco-situation and abundance of food and other resources.
The incident occurred two days ago. Visitors to the park noted a cut down tree and contacted the administration. Not that it was a great news or anything new at all, but the tree really looked impressive (cover photo). Unfortunately «looked» as the regulation envisages that trees «eaten» by beavers be sewn down.
The beavers living in the Gatchina park, a Gatchina Palace museum representative said, cut down trees rather rarely, but regularly. Normally, they prefer trees near water, which are usually of natural origin, not of artificial, planted specially by the museum.
The Gatchina’s park is now under serious reconstruction and renovation undertaken to make it more comfortable for visitors to the Gatchina palace and locals.
