The biggest event dedicated to motorcycling and innovations in the moto world in St. Petersburg will take place in the middle of April at the largest exhibition space in the city. This year’s highlights include customizing show, mototrial and retro exhibition.
IMIS is the largest motoshow in Russia annually held in Saint Petersburg. Besides demonstrating new accessories, innovations, equipment and techniques from Harley Davidson, BMW, Yamaha, Suzuki and Kawasaki, it features a number of events to keep you amused all the time even if you are far from being a moto fan.
The Custom zone will give you an opportunity to see the best examples of customizing, more than one hundred of vehicles created and tuned manually within Russian Handbuild Cup.
The Retro will be showing motorcycles from period of 1912 – 1962 years. And, of course, for mototrial take your cameras with you to film tricks you will hardly ever see somewhere else.
As organizers say, motoclubs from Russia, Belarus, Finland and the Baltic countries will take part in the IMIS this year.
The ExpoForum exhibition center is located at 64, Peterburgskoe shosse (highway), about 20-minute ride away from Moskovskaya subway station.
There are a few options for getting there:
— Bus 187a departs from Moskovskaya station.
— Free shuttle buses of ExpoForum depart at regular intervals from Moskovskaya. The shuttles and 187a go from a bus stop opposite the house 197, Moskovsky avenue.
— Commercial mini-bus K-299 departs from a bus stop located just near the monument to Vladimir Lenin at the Moskovskaya square.
By the way, Hilton St. Petersburg ExpoForum was opened just a few days ago. It’s not merely near the exhibition center, it’s part of it.
