UPDATE:
The company said on March 30 there would be no departures till at least July 31, 2021.
St. Petersburg ferry company Moby SPL, operating its only vessel Princess Anastasia, stated the dates of season 2021. The first departure will be on May 22, when Princess Anastasia, the Moby’s only vessel, will leave St. Petersburg on its way to Helsinki and will end on October 2 in Tallinn.
Princess Anastasia will be serving three different following routes:
1. St. Petersburg — Tallinn — Stockholm — Helsinki — St. Petersburg
2. St. Petersburg — Helsinki — Tallinn — Stockholm — Helsinki — St. Petersburg
3. St. Petersburg — Helsinki — St. Petersburg
Besides that, there will be two cruises:
— St. Petersburg — Tallinn — Riga — Stockholm — Helsinki — St. Petersburg from June 7 to June 12;
— St. Petersburg — Tallinn — St. Petersburg from July 22 to July 22 and from August 19 to August 21;
What differs the season 2021 schedule from previous years is Europe’s football cup, EURO 2020 (yes, it retained its original name despite being now scheduled for summer 2021). The tournament affected Moby’s schedule; the ferry will be in the city on all days when St. Petersburg hosts EURO games.
So, it’s very convenient for football fans to get here to see the games and support their national teams. St. Petersburg’s Gazprom Arena will host the following matches:
— Russia vs Belgium on June 12;
— Russia vs Finland on June 16;
— Belgium vs Finland on June 21;
— 1/4 finale on July 2.
The schedule is especially convenient for the Finns as Princess Anastasia will be traveling to St. Petersburg from Helsinki on these days, departing from the capital of Finland on June 11, 15, 20, and July 1.
Due to the EURO 2020, there will be four occasions when the ferry will be staying in St. Petersburg for two days making it possible for travelers to come here, spend two days to see the city, using the vessel as a hotel, and then return on it.
These dates are:
— June 16 and 17;
— June 21 and 22;
— September 30 and October 1.
The schedule in English on the Moby’s official website is here.
The season 2020, initially scheduled for March, for Moby totally failed due to COVID. There have been no departures, and the company announced there will be none till May 2021.
The terminal where Moby’s Princess Anastasia gets moored in St. Petersburg is The Morskoy Vokzal, NOT the Marine Façade. The Morskoy Vokzal (as the Marine Façade too) is located on the Vasilievsky island in the center of the city with a 15-minute leg by bus to the nearest subway stations Primorskaya or Vasileostrovskaya.
The address of the Morskoy Vokzal terminal is 1, Ploshchad Morskoy Slavy (1, The Square of Marine Glory, in Russian – Площадь Морской славы, 1).
