Peterhof To Shut Down Fountains On October 15, Hydrofoils To Stop On October 9, 2017

Peterhof To Shut Down Fountains On October 15

The Peterhof museum complex has announced the date of shutting down the fountains, while shipping companies followed with the closure date of their hydrofoil (meteor) services.

The fountains will be closed as of 15 October 2017.

The last trips of hydrofoils will be on 8 October 2017.

Important: the solemn closing ceremony of fountains takes part on September 15 and 16. It’s a show to celebrate the end of the high season, the fountains will continue to operate for a month more, till the middle of October.

The museum complex, including the Upper Park, the Lower Garden and all the museums will also continue to work as there these are all-season facilities. Peterhof is superb in the autumn even without fountains and in much cooler and windy conditions.

Use other ways, commercial buses (preferably) and railways, to get to Peterhof.
