The team of only survived medieval castle in Russia, one of the top attractions in the country has decided to turn its cat Filimon into an employee and having faced huge interest to his social media accounts wants to find a press serviceman for him.
Cats are undoubtedly human beings’ friends and often officially employed like it is case in the Great Britain. In Russia, some establishments also hire them for accomplishing specific functions, first of all, chasing mice, of course. For example, the Hermitage museum has a constant squad of a few dozens of cats since the middle of the XVIIth century and pays to two employees for caring about them.
The Vyborg castle has recently created two profiles for its cat Filimon in the Russian biggest Vkontakte network and Instagram. Reaction of the public surprised castle’s employees: users began to try to communicate with the cat. So, reaction to the reaction is needed. The castle has announced that the establishment wants to hire a PR specialist to manage the accounts. The position is voluntary.
Judging by comments in the social networks, there must be enough candidates. And maybe the castle will turn the process of choosing into a kind of entertainment. As it’s already done in the case reported.
