Video of Marching Song By Angola Military Students From St. Petersburg Went Viral

Angola flag

Students from Angola studying at the St. Petersburg Military University of the Military Academy of logistics (MUoMAL) became YouTube stars after their incredible performing of a marching song at a contest recently held at the university.

A rather weird way the Angolans performed in differs much from how Russian soldiers do it.

The students study in the third year at the special faculty of the university. St. Petersburg has a lot of military high schools where great amount of students from African and Asian countries train their skills, the cooperation dating back to the Soviet times when USSR was supporting friendly regimes in its rivalry with U. S. and other Western countries. Angola was one of the biggest allies of USSR in Africa.

As media reported, the sense of the song remained unclear, though it is not, of course, of great importance.

The Angolan would-be officers won the victory in the contest. As we may assume, with great advantage.

P.S.
That’s how Russian soldiers are normally performing a marching song.
