WTA’s St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy To Be Held In February


WTA’s St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy

St. Petersburg will host women tennis tournament St. Petersburg Ladies Trophy 2016, in February, 8-14. Totally, more than 20 sportswomen will participate, with Belinda Bencic as an owner of the highest WTA rating (14) which is followed by Roberta Vinci (15), Ana Ivanovic (23), Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (28) and Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (29). All the rankings are as of January, 18, according to the WTA’s official website (http://www.wtatennis.com/).

Prize money is $687,900, qualification matches will take place on February, 6-8.
Two venues will be home to competition, both located on the Krestovsky island, the nearest metro station is Krestovsky ostrov (island), in Russian: «Крестовский остров».
1. Sibur Arena (which is also a home field for the Zenit basketball club).
Address: 8, Football alley.
2. Dynamo tennis center. Address: 44, Dynamo avenue.

A free shuttle service will be available between the metro station and the venues on game days.
Evening matches will be held at the Sibur Arena only.
Tickets are rather cheap and can be bought through ticket websites or at venues.
