You can take on a virtual trip around the globe to see how the New Year’s arrival is being celebrated in various countries at the biggest exhibition center in St. Petersburg. A show for kids is held till the end of Russian long January holidays.
A mix of different entertainments within The World New Year show will help keep children occupied for a day, orgzanizers say. The focus is on how different peoples in all corners of the world celebrate on New Year’s eve. Led by Ded Moroz (Grandfather Frost, Russian analogue of Santa Klaus) and his grandaughter Sneguroshka children will be taken through the traditions and customs while being entertained by animators. The program features concerts, a kid’s musical, a foxtrail, workshops, 3d technology studio, national-themed food court and number of other options.

Address: the Expoforum exhibition center, Peterburgskoe road, 64/1. Shuttles run every 15 minutes from the Leninsky prospect and Moskoskaya subway stations from 10.15 till 19.45.
Bus stop at the Leninsky prospect subway station is opposite building 128, Leninsky avenue.
Bus stop at the Moskoskaya subway station is opposite building 197, Moskovsky avenue.
Public buses from the Moskovskaya station: bus 187a, K-299, K-545 (from the same building 197).
Travel time is about 20 minutes.
